Huron Consulting Group Expands Global Legal Consulting Services

Huron Consulting Group (NASDAQ: HURN), a leading provider of business consulting services, today announced the expansion of the Company’s Legal Consulting segment with the hiring of personnel from H4 Partners, a U.K.-based legal consulting company focused on serving European law firms and in-house law departments.

Alan Hodgart and Julia Chain from H4 Partners will join Huron as managing directors in the Company’s Legal Consulting segment focused on advising law firms and in-house law departments with internal strategic development. Hodgart and Chain will be joined by seven H4 colleagues. They will continue serving their existing clients on current engagements as well as building Huron’s U.K. and European presence.

Hodgart founded H4 Partners in 2007 to provide strategic advice to large law firms. He has more than 20 years of experience working in professional services with a concentration on strategy formulation and implementation services in the legal sector. The author of Strategies and Practice in Law Firm Mergers, Hodgart has spent his entire career as a strategic consultant. At Huron, he will be working with law firms to improve their competitive advantage, enhance profitability, and practice effective business management.

Chain has more than 25 years of experience working in legal and management consulting. In 2005, she founded The Kite Consultancy which specialized in providing strategy and management services to in-house legal departments. Kite Consultancy merged with H4 Partners in 2008. Chain has extensive experience in the legal sector having worked as a lawyer, a general counsel for T-Mobile, and a legal consultant. At Huron, Chain will be focused on helping clients manage their in-house legal departments.
