Organic and Guitar Center Put Consumer Wishes at Center Stage for 2009 Holiday Season

Organic, Inc., a leading digital communications agency, and Guitar Center today announced the launch of their new Wish List Poster Creator. Live now, the new service provides a fresh spin on traditional static wish lists by letting consumers showcase items they want this upcoming holiday season in an interactive, musically-themed “poster” they can share with friends and family or post on popular social media sites.

“The holiday season is an exciting time as many begin their musical journey by receiving their first guitar or drum set as a gift,” said Scott Archambault, Director, Customer Acquisition of Guitar Center. “Through our work with Organic, the new Wish List Poster Creator jazzes up static, text-based lists by giving musicians and aspiring artists the chance to express their holiday gift ideas in a fun and interactive way that incorporates their passion for music.”

The Guitar Center Wish List Poster Creator is available now. Once on the Guitar Center site, interested consumers can click on “Wish List” where they are presented with interactive poster templates developed by commissioned artists who have created posters for the world’s top venues in a variety of musical genres including Heavy Metal, Rock and New Wave. Visitors simply select their poster style, personalize it by adding their name and a headline for their list and then click and drag their gift wishes onto the poster. Once completed, they simply click the publish button to email it to friends and family and post on sites such as Facebook and MySpace.

“We chose Organic based on their unmatched ability to fuel multichannel brand strategies with tightly integrated creative and strategy, intuition and analytics – a potent combination of right- and left-brain thinking,” said Archambault. “Furthermore, Organic’s unique consumer empathy-based approach gives us deeper insight into the needs and desires of our customers, allowing us to create even better experiences for them.”

“The Organic team is dedicated to helping companies of all sizes shed conventional practices in favor of new interactive experiences that create excitement for their customers while echoing the essence of their brand,” said Bill Camp, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Organic. “The Wish List Poster Creator allows Guitar Center to give its customers a new and fun way to showcase their musical interests while providing their friends and family with an indication of the gifts they wish to receive during the upcoming holidays.”
