Transcat, Inc. Partners with FLIR in the Test & Measurement Market

Transcat, Inc. (Nasdaq: TRNS), a leading global distributor of professional grade test, measurement and calibration instruments and accredited provider of calibration, parts inspection, production model engineering and repair services, has partnered with FLIR Systems, Inc (Nasdaq: FLIR), the global leader in the design and manufacture of thermal imaging infrared cameras. This partnership expands Transcat’s product offering to include FLIR’s handheld infrared cameras and thermal imagers and reinforces Transcat’s reputation for being a leading distributor of the finest test and measurement brands.

With a strong presence in the pharmaceutical and FDA-regulated, industrial manufacturing, energy and utilities and chemical processing industries, Transcat will market and distribute FLIR’s infrared cameras and thermal imagers to its approximate 17,000 US and Canadian customers to expand both companies’ market share and value offering. Charles P. Hadeed, President, CEO and COO of Transcat commented, “Transcat is excited to launch this new partnership. FLIR has long been the leader in infrared technology and we are pleased to be a major part of aggressively growing the market for FLIR’s handheld industrial cameras.”

FLIR pioneered the use of infrared cameras for industrial application over 50 years ago and has developed a broad portfolio of thermographic cameras that will now be available to the Transcat target audience. “FLIR and Transcat are both industry leaders, and we believe the combination of our popular camera line and the Transcat customer base will drive revenue and market share increases for both companies,” said Tom Scanlon, FLIR’s Vice President for Americas Thermography. “Transcat is joining FLIR at an exciting time in the life of our distribution program. Transcat is well known for supplying premier hand held instruments and FLIR is the world leader in infrared cameras with a new broad line-up of cameras designed for sale through distribution. We are excited about this partnership and are looking forward to growing business together with Transcat.”
