On November 2, 2009, GT Solar International, Inc. issued a press release announcing a transition in the office of President and Chief Executive Officer, as Thomas Gutierrez succeeds Thomas Zarrella, and announcing preliminary financial results for the second quarter ended September 26, 2009.  The information in Exhibit 99.1 is being furnished pursuant to Item 2.02 of Form 8-K.
