Item 8.01                                           Other Events.

 

On June 11, 2015, Staples, Inc. ( “Staples”) announced that it has received clearance from the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China for the acquisition of Office Depot, Inc. (“Office Depot”).  A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.

 

IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

This report may be deemed to be solicitation material in respect of the proposed transaction involving Staples and Office Depot.
