This Report of Foreign Private Issuer on Form 6-K is deemed filed for all purposes under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended.

Korea Electric Power Corporation (“KEPCO”) is considering the sale of its treasury shares as part of its plan to improve its financial structure. However, no specific decisions have been made, including as to timing or the methods of such sale, and these decisions will be made based on prevailing market conditions. In addition, KEPCO may sell certain land sites that are not directly related to its operations. However, since its land sites are subject to various regulatory restrictions on account of KEPCO’s business as an electricity supplier, such sales will be conducted incrementally based on the progress of complying with such restrictions as well as subject to prevailing conditions of the Korean real estate market.

KEPCO will provide further details through public filings once the specifics relating to the sale of treasury shares and/or land sites are determined.
