Item 2.01 Completion of Acquisition or Disposition of Assets.

 

On June 3, 2016, Maui Land & Pineapple Company, Inc. (the “Company”) closed the sale of a 304-acre working-class community project located in West Maui, commonly referred to as Pulelehua, for $15.0 million. Proceeds from the sale were used to pay off and retire the Company’s American AgCredit term loan.

 

The sale resulted in a gain of approximately $14.3 million, which will be included in the Company’s operating results for the quarter ending June 30, 2016.
