On May 17, 2018, HomeStreet, Inc. ("HomeStreet" or the "Company") issued a press release regarding a letter to the Company's shareholders from director Mark Patterson, a copy of which is included as Exhibit 99.1 to this report and incorporated herein by reference. Both the press release and letter to the Company’s shareholders are available on HomeStreet's investor relations web site at http://ir.homestreet.com.

IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND WHERE TO FIND IT

On April 17, 2018, the Company filed a definitive proxy statement on Schedule 14A and form of associated WHITE proxy card with the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) in connection with the solicitation of proxies for its 2018 Annual Meeting of Shareholders (the “Definitive Proxy Statement”). The Company, its directors and certain of its executive officers will be participants in the solicitation of proxies from shareholders in respect of the 2018 Annual Meeting of Shareholders.
