In addition to the securities shown in Table I and Table II, Fidelity Management & Research Company and Pyramis Global Advisors Trust Company, each a direct or indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of FMR LLC, are the beneficial owners of 15,587,065 shares, or 11.0667%, of the Common Stock of GT ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES INC. as a result of acting as investment adviser to various investment companies registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940, institutional accounts and non-U.S. mutual funds. FMR LLC and Edward C. Johnson 3d have no pecuniary interest in the 15,587,065 shares of Common Stock.
