ITEM 7.01  REGULATION FD DISCLOSURE

The following information was expressed at an investor meeting held in New York,
New York on June 16, 2005.

Eric Feldstein, GMAC's Chairman, today confirmed that GMAC expects
year-over-year net income from its Financing Operations to be down and net
income from its Mortgage and Insurance Operations to be up. He stated that he
expects GMAC's consolidated net income to be at least $2.5 billion. He also
stated that GMAC intends to remit dividends in excess of $2.0 billion to its
parent, GM.
