Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Principal Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Principal Officers.
Luis Tellez, who earlier this year was elected as a director of Sempra Energy, has accepted an appointment as the Minster of Communications and Transport of Mexico. The appointment will become effective on December 1, 2006. In view of his appointment, Mr. Tellez resigned as a director of Sempra Energy on November 28, 2006.
