Item 5.02.
Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers: Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On August 1, 2008, Wausau Paper Corp. announced that Pete R. Chiericozzi will retire from his position as Senior Vice President of the Company’s Towel & Tissue segment, effective December 31, 2008, and that Mr. Chiericozzi will be succeeded in this position by Michael R. Wildenberg. Mr. Wildenberg, 66, presently serves as Vice President – Sales and Marketing for the Company’s Towel & Tissue segment, a position that he has held since 1984. Mr. Wildenberg will continue to be compensated under present arrangements until he begins his service as Senior Vice President on January 1, 2009, when he will become eligible to participate in the Company’s executive compensation programs made available to senior vice presidents of the Company’s operating business segments.
