Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.
On October 22, 2004, The Chubb Corporation (Chubb) received interrogatories and a subpoena seeking information as part of an investigation by the Connecticut Attorney General’s office into possible violations of the antitrust laws. Chubb intends to cooperate fully with the inquiry.
