     On July 8, 2004, IntraBiotics Pharmaceuticals, Inc. announced that one or more purported class action lawsuits against IntraBiotics, Dr. Henry Fuchs, Dr. Detlef Albrecht and David Tucker, officers of IntraBiotics, have been filed in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, asserting alleged violations of the Federal securities laws. A copy of the related press release is being filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.
