LONDON, Jan 27 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 index was seen opening 5-8 points higher, or up 0.2 percent, on Thursday, according to financial bookmakers, tracking modest gains on Wall Street and in Asia, with commodity issues expected to remain in demand as metal and crude prices hold firm.
