A Global Book Sales Challenge for Charity

By: PRLog
PR Log - Sep 30, 2011 - KMR-Media's founder and owner, Ray Leonard was approached back in January, 2011 by educator and author, Dr. Shellie Hipsky to author a book based on KMR-Media's radio program, "Ordinary People Extraordinary Planet."  KMR-Media was certainly game for such a project, but would accept only if the book could give something back for the "greater good," in addition to the inspirational stories in the book.  With some very short negotiations between KMR and Dr. Hipsky they agreed upon a number of 25%.

This wonderful book of inspiration contains twelve chapters of twelve Ordinary People whom have done something in their life that is Extraordinary to make a positive difference in the lives of others.  It is self titled after KMR's radio program, "Ordinary People Extraordinary Planet" and was published for sheer inspiration.   Some of the stories in the book are mind blowing... Sandie Andersen, a Starbucks barista in Tacoma, WA. reached out her hands to a morning rush hour customer in need, who was a complete stranger and donated a kidney to her to save her life.  Three years later they are the best of friends.  If that doesn't inspire you, then I don't know what will.

But for KMR-Media and Dr. Shellie Hipsky the stories of inspiration wasn't enough to satisfy their passion for inspiring others and giving back.  So, they decided to donate 25% of the book's profits at benchmarks to all 12 featured charities in the book.  Some of the charities that will benefit from this new book are Kid's Food Basket in Grand Rapids, MI., SHARE In Africa out of New Jersey, as well as Gilda's Club.

Twelve inspirational stories to inspire combined with 25% shared donation for the featured charities in the book is their formula.  But, is it the right formula to inspire more than 100,000 souls worldwide to pick up a copy to be a part of their, "Global Book Sales Challenge for Charity?"
