LEADING PRIVATE JUNIOR SCHOOL
At the age of 3 years, students are formally accepted into the Montessori program where they are nurtured according to the principles expounded by Maria Montessori, and prepared for a life of learning and success. Mount Anville Montessori Junior School is one of the leading private junior schools in Dublin. Students in the Primary classes are taught by a passionate and competent team of teachers who plan and deliver exciting curriculum to encourage exploration and promote love of learning. Curriculum standards adhere to the national standards set by the Department of Education and Skills and the Department of Education and Science in Ireland.
TECHNOLOGY FOCUSED LEARNING
In preparing students for an increasingly technology-driven world, all classrooms from 3rd-6th are equipped with interactive whiteboards. Students also have weekly computer classes in the Computer Room, which is fully equipped with computers and iPads; these are accessible to students for homework and research assignments. Students also have an exclusive science laboratory that allows experimentation and deeper exploration. Mount Anville students also have the unique advantage of their own onsite library which proudly holds over 5000 books, both for informational and recreational reading.
EXCELLENT EXTRA-CURRICULAR FACILITIES
Following a holistic approach to education, Mount Anville Dublin 14 Girls School offers several excellent extra-curricular activities to help create well-rounded citizens of the future. These include music, group recorder classes, swimming, tennis, French language, computers, hockey skills, drama, Spanish language, Jazz ballet, movement for fun, classes by the London Academy of Music and Dance, and Irish dance.
Four large assembly areas make these activities possible; an all-weather pitch topped with a-state-of-the-art surface allows the girls to play hockey, tennis and athletics notwithstanding the weather; and brand new tennis courts are designed to convert into basketball courts during the winter months.
