1st Singapore Celebrity to Get His Very Own Mobile App

By: PRLog
PR Log - Apr 24, 2012 - Swag Soft is on a mission to create mobile applications for every celebrity on planet Earth. To meet this goal the iPhone app development company based in Singapore is reaching out to famous personalities, talented artistes, performers, bloggers and vbloggers worldwide and has just launched a mobile application based on popular Singapore vblogger Dee Kosh.

"It is based on the fact that people are increasingly spending time away from their desktop devices and getting more engaged with handheld devices like smart phones and tablets that Swag Soft decided to look closely at helping celebrities reach out to their fan base via mobile apps." says Aldric Chang, Managing Director of Swag Soft. “We are very pleased and proud to be working with a talented individual like Dee Kosh to mark the start of this mission!”

Beyond the engagement factor, another good reason for a celebrity to have a mobile app is to provide a more convenient way for fans to keep up-to-date with their favorite celebrity's activities on the numerous social media platforms.

Ngo Chee Yong, CTO of iPhone app developer Swag Soft, says, "Nowadays, we can expect a celebrity to have a Face Book account, a Twitter account, a blog, a YouTube channel and maybe even a podcast channel. But for fans, it can be a hassle visiting so many different sites. A one-stop solution can come in the form of a neat mobile app which collects the various resources and combines them into one tidy little package for easy and convenient access."

As the first step towards the mission, Swag Soft is proud to announce the launch of the Dee Kosh app on the iOS platform.

Dee Kosh - a popular Singapore video blogger featured on Channel News Asia known for his loud and fast-speaking YouTube rants - has this to say about the collaboration, "I feel privileged and honored to be the first celeb Swag Soft is featuring. This project means a lot to me as it is a great way to connect with all my friends and fans who have been supporting my cause so far. I had a great deal of fun working with the Swag Soft guys in customizing my app and really appreciate this collaboration.”

As Swag Soft looks towards expanding her stable of celeb apps, she will be absorbing the development costs of these applications. Furthermore, she will be doing a revenue share with the celebrities earned through ads that will be placed strategically within the apps.

"Our goal is to provide a win-win solution for all parties involved. For the celebs – they can expect a higher rate of engagement and exposure with their fans and some extra pocket money. For the fans - a convenient way to get connected. And for Swag Soft, a viable business model." says Aldric Chang who also does consulting work for virtual worlds for kids (http://www.virtualworldsforkids.info).

For those who thinks that they are famous and/or talented enough to have an app, contact Swag Soft at info@swagsoft.com for a discussion.
