Fresh is no stranger to the big stage, having been seen alongside household names at the BET Awards, 106 and Park and more. He’s worked with well known artists like Wyclef Jean, Busta Rhymes, B.O.B., Lil Boosie and others. His videos on YouTube have totaled more than 20 million views, which is more than some artists on major labels. Haitian Fresh was born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, but fled to Miami with his family in 1998 to escape the harsh political climate of the country. Times were tough in his childhood, but his hard work wound up getting him into a notable college where he earned a degree in Business and Marketing. He’s a self described “King of grind,” and this grinding, persevering nature both became to be the defining trait of his music and made him able to escape the harsh street scene, becoming the first member of his family to earn a college degree. Now he works to build awareness of his community through his music and his stage name. As Fresh puts it, he wants to put the whole country on his back.
