Stocks Wipe Out Prior Week's Big Losses
Stocks started off a short week with a bang Monday, as the major averages logged their biggest gains in months. The Nasdaq bolted 2.2% for its biggest one-day move since July 27. Apple (AAPL), which bounced back from a nine-month low, along with rallies by Google (GOOG) and Amazon.com (AMZN), boosted the tech-heavy index. The S&P 500 and NYSE composite jumped 2% each.
