Wall Street's Gains Fade, But Trimble Hits New High
Wall Street's gains faded early Monday afternoon, led by gains in heavyweights McDonald's (MCD) and Hewlett-Packard (HPQ). The Nasdaq and the Dow Jones industrial average were each up 0.2% while the S&P 500 was 0.1% higher. Volume was down 10% on the NYSE and 4% on the Nasdaq compared with Friday. McDonald's rose 1% in heavy turnover after the burger chain reported surprisingly strong November sales. The stock jumped off its 50-day moving average
