Costco Earnings Rise 19%, Beating Q1 Estimates
Costco Wholesale Corp. (COST) reported Wednesday that fiscal first-quarter earnings rose 19% vs. a year earlier, beating Wall Street estimates. The warehouse membership club earned 95 cents a share vs. an adjusted 80 cents a year earlier. Analysts expected 93 cents. That snapped a four-quarter string of accelerating EPS growth. Net revenue rose 10% to $23.2 billion, as Costco previously reported. Same-store sales rose 7% overall and in the U.S.,
