A.M. Kitco Metals Roundup: Gold Moderately Higher on Short Covering, Bargain Hunting
(Kitco News) - Gold prices are higher in early U.S. trading Tuesday, on some short covering and bargain hunting buying interest following recent selling pressure. The raw commodity spectrum is mostly higher Tuesday as the market place is exhibiting a bit of a “risk-on” mentality, and that has also led to some buying support for gold and silver. February gold last traded up $9.00 at $1,661.90 an ounce. Spot gold was last quoted up $8.40 at $1,663.50. March Comex silver last traded up $0.31 at $31.09 an ounce.
