PERTH, AUSTRALIA--January 31, 2013--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Perth, Australia)--Delta Electricity (Sydney, Australia), which owns and operates the 1,320-megawatt (MW) Mount Piper Power Station , recently completed maintenance work on the plant's 660-MW, coal-fired unit. The work occurred during the scheduled outage shutdown of the unit in October and November 2012. The Mount Piper power plant, which began commercial operations in 1993, is equipped with two 660-MW Toshiba Tandem Compound Reheat steam turbines, with a Shikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries water tube coal-fired boiler.
