A.M. Kitco Metals Roundup: Gold Firmer on Short Covering, Bargain Hunting; U.S. Jobs Data on Deck
(Kitco News) - Gold prices are trading modestly higher in early U.S. dealings Friday, on a corrective technical bounce and some bargain hunting following the strong selling pressure seen Thursday. A weaker U.S. dollar index is also a supportive factor for the precious metals markets Friday morning. April gold last traded up $4.00 at $1,666.00 an ounce. Spot gold was last quoted up $1.00 at $1,664.25. March Comex silver last traded up $0.109 at $31.46 an ounce.
