How Russia Could Become the 'Savior of Europe'

Speculation is growing that Cyprus will turn to Russia for financial assistance after the country rejected a bank-deposit tax proposal on Tuesday in return for receiving a 10 billion euro bailout from its euro zone partners, a situation that would allow Russia to become the "savior of Europe", one economist told CNBC.
