Honda's 2013 Civic Sedan Earns Top Safety Marks

By: PRLog
Honda's famous compact sedan has earned the highest safety ranking from the NHTSA – 5 Stars.

PRLog - May 25, 2013 - GREENFIELD, Wis. -- While drivers are often looking for quite a few things in a new vehicle, there are not many priorities that rank higher than safety, and that is why it gives Boyland Honda great pride to announce that the 2013 Honda Civic Sedan was awarded a 5-Star overall rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. This is in addition to taking home one the Top Safety Pick+ award from safety experts at the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety just earlier this year.

That's two of the highest safety awards from the leaders in auto safety testing, but this kind of recognition is hardly foreign for the Civic. Indeed, the 2012 model earned 5-Star recognition from the NHTSA as well. The overall rating is a combined score of other safety tests; the latest Civic Sedan received a four stars for rollover safety protection, five stars for side impacts, and four stars for front-end collisions.

The Civic's safety record is impressive, but that's far from the only reason there are more of them in and around Milwaukee these days. The new Civic is part of the push to redefine standard features across the new Honda lineup, making once-optional amenities standard on their entry-level models, such as:

· A rearview camera to aid with parking and backing up.

· Bluetooth HandsFreeLink for wireless and handsfree smartphone control, enabling drivers to be both safe and connected while behind the wheel of a new Honda.

· A touchscreen interface with built-in infotainment system to control the Civic's tech in one convenient location. The Honda i-MID is unique to the brand and comes standard on the Civic.

· Steering wheel-mounted controls keep the driver's hands on the wheel and eyes on the road; no more fumbling for the phone to answer that call or text.

Drivers seeking more information on the latest Civic, including how to schedule a test drive, can contact a sales professional at Boyland Honda. Their dealership can be found at 6141 South 27th Street in Greenfield, Wisconsin, and the showroom is open six days a week, with Sundays available for browsing the lineup of new Honda models and gently-used cars, trucks, and SUVs.
