Hudson’s Bay Company Appoints Jonathan Greller to President, Outlets

Hudson’s Bay Company (TSX: HBC) (“HBC” or the “Company”) today announced the appointment of Jonathan Greller to President, Outlets, effective immediately. As President, Mr. Greller will lead all three HBC outlet banners: Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH, Lord & Taylor outlets and Hudson’s Bay outlets. Mr. Greller is formerly Group SVP, Private Brand Apparel, Global Sourcing and Specialty for HBC and Lord & Taylor. Mr. Greller will report directly to the Office of the Chairman.

With over 20 years of experience at HBC and Lord & Taylor, Mr. Greller is well-positioned to lead Saks OFF 5TH as it embarks on a significant growth initiative with its entry into the Canadian marketplace. HBC plans to expand the full Saks' banner to Canada, opening as many as seven full-line Saks Fifth Avenue stores and up to 25 OFF 5TH outlet locations over the next several years, as well as expand Saks' e-commerce presence in Canada by establishing a Canadian saks.com website. HBC will also continue Saks' existing plans to further expand the OFF 5TH footprint in the U.S.

“This is an exciting time for HBC and the Saks brand, as we look forward to our expansion into Canada,” said Richard Baker, Governor and CEO, HBC. “Jonathan’s experience and proven track record of success will help drive our growth strategy and elevate the Saks OFF 5TH experience on both sides of the border, and further develop the outlet platform for our Lord & Taylor and Hudson’s Bay banners,” he added.

In November 2013, HBC completed the acquisition of Saks Fifth Avenue; a merger that created a premier North American fashion retail business centered on three iconic retail brands - Hudson's Bay, Lord & Taylor and Saks Fifth Avenue. HBC currently operates 72 Saks OFF 5TH locations, four Lord & Taylor outlets and one Hudson’s Bay outlet location.

Mr. Greller began his career with Lord & Taylor in 1993 and worked in many executive merchandising roles before rising to Group SVP for HBC and Lord & Taylor. He holds a B.S. in Retailing from Syracuse University, where he also currently serves on the retail advisory board.
