PRLog - Mar. 24, 2014 - RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- The Connecticut Press Club announced Friday that HamletHub won 6 awards, including the highly coveted award for best for-profit website in Connecticut.

This award represents the third consecutive year HamletHub has won Connecticut Press Club awards.

Kerry Anne Ducey, Founder of HamletHub's collection of local websites, proudly stated, "I am excited for HamletHub, but also for the editors and the entire HamletHub community. Our mission is to make each community better, and this affirms we are succeeding."

The Connecticut Press Club, a sub-chapter of the National Federation of Press Women, is the leading press association in Connecticut.

"What began as a small blog has become a phenomenon – a new kind of online community journalism written exclusively by and for local residents," Ms. Ducey said. "We empower people to share their own stories. It gives businesses a much-needed platform to market efficiently, connects residents to their town, and brings awareness and support to charities and town governments. "

HamletHub (www.hamlethub.com) is a network of "hyperlocal" sites that provide locally sourced news about a community with a mission of making communities better, one HamletHub at a time. Ms. Ducey launched the first "Hub" in 2009, and is now joined by 43 other talented local editors throughout Connecticut and Westchester, NY. HamletHub is growing by the day.
