Dollar gains; euro weaker on ECB easing talk

The U.S. dollar gains ground versus most major rivals, but lags commodity-bloc currencies as risk appetite revives, while the euro weakens on rising expectations the European Central Bank will move to further ease monetary policy to stave off deflation.
