Inviting and challenging presenters to create a unique visual experience in an intimate environment, Fridge is the brainchild of artist Eric Ginsburg. Well known for his soulful and painterly portrayals of dogs and cats Ginsburg is also passionate about the fair, stating, “Creativity and genuineness will be on display from galleries and artists, in all media and price ranges.” As for the inevitable surprises his approach encourages, he adds, “It is the fun that is the key!” Guided by his spirit, Fridge’s New York and Miami debuts attracted quality dealers, collectives and artists working outside the high-end and vanity exhibition scenes.

Joining him in shaping the fair are: New York artist, art journalist (Revolt Magazine, Huffington Post) and curator Linda DiGusta as co-director fair; StreetArtNYC editor Lois Stavsky, an educator, curator and writer with a particular passion for global street art, who has organized a special gallery within the fair featuring  a children’s workshop conducted by Angel Ortiz, aka LA 2, and more guests artists to be announced; and Brooklyn-based artist, curator and writer Jeanne Wilkinson curating the Video Lounge

A small 501(c)(3) and an original member of the Mayor’s Alliance for Animals in NYC,  City Critters Inc. works to rescue and place stray and abandoned cats, kittens, and occasionally dogs, as well as accepting animals at risk in the municipal shelter system for placement through their network. Volunteers also offer advice or assistance to local individuals on problems involving homeless cats and dogs, working within the community to support the human-animal bond in all ways possible. https://www.facebook.com/CityCritters
