GOOD Magazine Presents the 2014 “GOOD 100,” in Collaboration with GAP, Celebrating 100 Creative Innovators Who Are Changing the World

GOOD Magazine, a quarterly print publication aimed at those looking to live well by doing GOOD, in partnership with GAP, presents the 2014 “GOOD 100.” GOOD’s annual list honors 100 innovators, each of whom is tackling present-day problems and issues, offering up his or her own creative, tangible solutions to push our world forward.

Hailing from over 35 different countries, these 100 visionaries span a wide spectrum of fields and disciplines, including:

  • Lily Cole, the supermodel/actress graces our cover and talks to us about her latest endeavor, Impossible, an online forum encouraging people to put away their wallets and offer their time instead, where users both offer goods and services for free and post their own wishes;
  • Ma Jun, Beijing’s preeminent environmental activist advocating for cleaner air and increased transparency in one of the world’s most polluted cities;
  • Negin Farsad, an Iranian-American whose documented comedy tour-turned-film, The Muslims Are Coming!, seeks to break down Islamophobia;
  • Olafur Eliasson, the esteemed Berlin-based artist, gives us a look inside his studio/laboratory and discusses the importance of collaboration and public engagement in his latest and future works;
  • Wanja Muguongo, the African LGBTI and sex workers rights advocate battling crippling legislation amid a discriminatory East African environment;
  • Dmitry Aleshkovsky, the Moscow journalist fighting against injustice and for greater citizen involvement in public affairs;
  • Aida Batlle, the award-winning Salvadoran coffee farmer boosting the movement towards thoughtful, ethical food;

“‘The GOOD 100’ perfectly illustrates our mission at GOOD, and we’re thrilled to be partnering with GAP on this year’s feature,” said Casey Caplowe, Chief Creative Officer at GOOD. “The GOOD 100’ doesn’t just shine a light on the important work being done; it intends to grow momentum for the projects featured, educate readers on various societal problems and--most importantly--inspire action.”

The GOOD 100 will be featured in GOOD Magazine’s “The GOOD 100” issue, on newsstands early April 2014 as well as online at good.is/the100, which will showcase individual features on each of the 100 honorees and offer up an interactive “What Kind of Doer Are You?” personality quiz for viewers looking to get more hands on, with shareable results via various social media channels.
