PECO Crown Lights Going Green for Earth Day

PECO’s iconic LED Crown Lights system will go green with color and messaging in celebration of Earth Day on Tuesday, April 22. The lights atop the company’s Main Office Building at 2301 Market Street in Philadelphia will feature messages against a green background to help customers save energy and money, and help protect the environment.

PECO coordinated with other prominent buildings and landmarks across Philadelphia who will join the company by turning their lights green in celebration of Earth Day. These buildings and landmarks include:

  • Boathouse Row
  • Cancer Treatment Centers of America - Juniata Park
  • Cira Centre
  • Commerce Square
  • Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts
  • Lincoln Financial Field
  • Pennsylvania Convention Center

PECO also is encouraging customers to celebrate Earth Day by taking steps to save energy and money.

For example:

  • Turn lights off when you leave a room
  • Use a programmable thermostat
  • Close blinds/shades/drapes in the summer
  • Use ceiling fans to circulate air
  • During summer months, run appliances that produce heat (clothes dryers and dishwashers) at night when it is cooler.
