Wolters Kluwer Health Improves User Access to Drug Comparative Efficacy Information in Lexicomp Online

Wolters Kluwer Health, a leading global provider of information for healthcare professionals and students, announced today that Lexicomp® Online™, its hospital-wide referential drug information solution, has integrated drug comparative efficacy content into its primary drug database. This will support healthcare professionals in making safe medication decisions with access to drug comparison reviews in fewer clicks without interrupting their workflow.

With a vision of offering the most robust drug information resources on the market, Wolters Kluwer Health has been bringing together the strongest clinical content and tools from its referential resources Lexicomp® and Facts & Comparisons®. For several years, Lexicomp Online has offered its users access to respected Facts and Comparisons comparative efficacy information from the Formulary Monograph Service as a separate module. This new enhancement integrates comparative efficacy data directly into Lexicomp drug monographs, including links within the monograph to more in-depth comparative information, saving clinicians time and supporting safe medication decisions by providing immediate access information on drug classes and role in therapy relevant to the specific drug being researched.
