“Tupperware’s mission is to empower women across the world to pursue their entrepreneurial and personal goals,” said Rick Goings, Chairman and CEO of Tupperware Brands Corporation. “Susan and I have taken this message to heart and are staunch advocates for women’s empowerment. At Tupperware Brands we’ve seen how confident and educated women reshape their communities, and we’re dedicated to helping more women achieve their dreams. We’re honored to receive the award and it only spurs our passion for the cause.”

The Sewall-Belmont House & Museum honored Sen. Barbara Mikulski with the Alice Award, who was presented the award by 2013 honoree, Sen. Susan Collins. Both awards pay tribute to trailblazers who have made an outstanding contribution in breaking barriers and setting new precedents for women.

“The Voice for Women Award recognizes those who consistently speak out about empowering women, and on issues that are important to women—Rick and Susan Goings embody the spirit of this award in everything they do, and we are honored to present them with the Voice for Women award,” said Page Harrington, Executive Director of the Sewall-Belmont House & Museum.

“We’re firm believers that women are the best agents for economic change and prosperity. We advocate for initiatives that empower women as we believe it will benefit the future of our world. Institutions like the Sewall-Belmont House & Museum drive this change and I’m thrilled to receive the award with Rick,” said Susan Porcaro Goings, Global Ambassador for Tupperware Brands’ Chain of Confidence initiative. Chain of Confidence is Tupperware Brands' global mission to empower women, enable their financial independence and change their lives through opportunity, support and relationships.

The luncheon is a fundraising program for the museum to support its mission – celebrating women’s progress toward equality. The funds raised provide support for educational programming, collection conservation, exhibitions, outreach, and preserving the story of the historic National Woman’s Party and its fight for suffrage and equality for women.
