US STOCKS SNAPSHOT-Wall St opens flat as Microsoft offsets Amazon

NEW YORK, Oct 24 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks opened flat on Friday, as disappointing earnings from Amazon were offset by gains in Microsoft after its quarterly results.
