Wella Professionals Launches Partnership with Match

You never get a second chance to make a first impression, especially on a first date! To help single women across the country during these moments, Wella Professionals, the hair color, care and styling authority, is partnering with the world’s largest online dating company, Match. A woman’s hair completes her overall look for a first date, making the collaboration between these two brands a natural fit. From the runways of Fashion Week to red carpet award shows, Wella Professionals consistently works with the most sought after stylists to bring you tips from the best in beauty (and now matchmaking!) for real woman to achieve date-night hair perfection.

At the heart of this partnership, Wella Professionals and Match commissioned a survey titled “Love Is In The Hair” to discover how a haircut, color and style can help single women (and men!) “get lucky in love.” Armed with statistics about both men and women’s hair attractions, Wella Professionals salons across the country are ready to help women and men achieve the perfect bespoke hair color and style that will help make them stand-out on that first date. Some of the jaw-dropping statistics include:

  • Blondes have more fun…and relationships? Studies show blondes beat out brunettes and red heads for the most long-term loves.*
  • Rock your bold hair color, and his world. Nearly 1/3 of single men think women with bold hair color are sexy and stimulating.*
  • Pump up the waves, and his heart rate! Almost half of single men find women with curly/wavy hair to be sexy and irresistible.*

The year-long collaboration kicked-off on October 22nd, 2014 with a “Girls’ Night Out Stir Event” at a Wella Professionals salon in New York City, where Wella stylists offered single women expert styling to get them ready for a happy-hour mixer with single men looking to mingle. The salon event set in motion a nationwide tour where 19 other Wella Professionals salons will be offering complimentary styling to Match subscribers before they embark on a night of possibly meeting “the one.”

The partnership will also include product sampling, the latest hair trends and beauty advice on social media, and exclusive blog posts on Match featuring tips from Wella Professionals’ Celebrity Stylist, Andy LeCompte and Wella Professionals’ Celebrity Colorist, Jennifer J, so keep your eye out for more ways to help meet your match. As part of the sampling program, Wella Professionals will be offering Match subscribers in-salon incentives and coupons so single women everywhere can choose products and styles that will help them achieve their best “date night hair.”
