Time Warner Cable Home Phone Customers Can Take Service on-the-Go with New Phone 2 Go App

Time Warner Cable (TWC) has launched a new app, Phone 2 Go, that lets its Home Phone customers take their service on-the-go at no additional cost. With Phone 2 Go, customers can enjoy texting, voice calling and even video calling, anytime, anywhere, using a smartphone or tablet.

“With the launch of Phone 2 Go, home phone service is no longer limited by physical location. Our customers can now use their Home Phone service and calling plan no matter where they are, including overseas,” said Jeff Lindsay, GM of Time Warner Cable Home Phone service. “Phone 2 Go brings tremendous value to our customers, not only in terms of convenience, but with real savings by accessing their Home Phone service and plan on-the-go using free WiFi to eliminate the worry of cellular voice overages and high international calling charges.”

After downloading the free Phone 2 Go app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, customers can set up their smartphone or tablet to receive calls forwarded from their home phone service anywhere they have access to a WiFi or cellular data connection*1 – even when traveling abroad. Customers also can choose to make calls from their mobile devices using their home phone service at no additional cost via free WiFi – including Time Warner Cable's very competitive international rates. Customers with TWC Standard Internet service or above can take advantage of nearly 50,000 free TWC WiFi® Hotspots and more than 250K free Cable WiFi® hotspots around the country to use Phone 2 Go.

With Phone 2 Go, customers can:

• Choose to receive voice calls, video calls and text messages made to their home phone number on their mobile devices
• Choose to make voice calls and send text messages through their home phone service from their mobile devices
• Manage voicemail – view and pick up messages made to their Home Phone
• Send calls and texts to up to five devices registered to the home phone line, making it easier to stay in touch with family and friends
• Customize privacy, call settings and even get access to visual voicemail

Phone 2 Go compatible devices include iOS 6.0 and higher (iPhones, iPads and iPad Minis) and Android 4.1 and higher (smartphones and tablets).
