Ligas Family Advocate Program Deploys New Interactive Website

With the help of Chicago-based Launch Digital Marketing, Ligas Family Advocate Program has updated their web presence to improve accessibility for area families.
PRLog - Nov. 21, 2014 - SOUTH HOLLAND, Ill. -- The new Ligas Family Advocate Program website is up and running, helping serve families around Chicago and St. Louis, with the eventual plan being to expand services to the whole state of Illinois.

The Ligas Family Advocate Program exists to connect recipients of Ligas award letters and their families with advocates who have experience building successful lives through the help of Ligas funds. This mission is made even easier through their new interactive website.

The director of the program, Shirley A. Perez, responded to the launch of the website, saying: "It is creative, user-friendly and intuitive! Our families will be able to quickly access information about our programs, upcoming events, links to helpful resources, and other valuable information that will assist them in caring for their loved one with developmental/intellectual disabilities.”

In addition to providing information and assistance to Ligas recipients in their search for CILA or Home Based services, the new interactive website has convenient contact information to put users in touch with someone that can personally answer their questions.

By helping to connect recipients of Ligas award letters with one another, the advocate program is able to give people unique perspectives on how to best provide care for their family members with developmental disabilities.

Though the idea for a more interactive website had been a goal for the Ligas Family Advocate Program for a while, Perez elaborated on the role Chicago-based Launch Digital Marketing played in the new design: “This would not have been possible without the professionalism of Launch Digital Marketing and their team. [They] made the process of creating the website an easy and exciting task, offering their experience and creativity to make this project a success."

“We love working with organizations like the Ligas Family Advocate Program, which allows us to both help out an organization we can believe in as well as show how effective an interactive website can be in fostering digital communities,” said Joe Chura, CEO of Launch Digital Marketing.
