In trading on Thursday, metals & mining shares were relative laggards, down on the day by about 0.7%. Helping drag down the group were shares of Foresight Energy Partners LP (FELP), off about 5.1% and shares of Alpha Natural Resources (ANR) off about 4.6% on the day.
