- Covers Up To 62 Major Illnesses and Includes various Additional Illness Protection Benefit and Services- Takes Comprehensive Care of Customers' Needs

Hong Kong, Dec 15, 2014 - (ACN Newswire) - Dah Sing Life Assurance Company Limited ("Dah Sing Life") announces the launch of "WellBeing CI Protection Plan" which covers up to 62 major illnesses. The plan offers comprehensive protection against major illness. It also features 12 female and 10 male "additional special illnesses" (including 5 illnesses for children). Among the additional special illnesses, protection for Carcinoma-In-Situ covers for all organs (except skin) which is not common in the market. If the insured suffers from any one of the illnesses covered by the "Additional Special Illness Benefit"1 during the coverage period, he/she will be entitled to an one-off additional amount equivalent to 20% of the face amount (but not more than the maximum amount payable2 ). The plan also offers a brand new "Target Cancer Therapy Benefit"3 with coverage up to age 70. If the insured suffers from a specific cancer4 during the coverage period, he/she will be entitled to an additional amount equivalent to 20% of the face amount as a "Target Cancer Therapy Benefit"3. This can help lessen the financial burden of the patients and their family members. "Target Cancer Therapy Benefit"3 and "Additional Special Illness Benefit"1 are additional benefits, which differ from the approach of advancement of the face amount in the market, and ensure that the insured is entitled to 100% of Major Illness Benefit which is not affected even after the claim of these two benefits.

In addition, the plan offers various additional protection and service, including "Second Medical Opinion Service" and "Free Accidental Death Benefit". If the insured suffers from late stage cancer, heart attack or stroke in first 10 policy years, "Late Stage Illness Benefit" will offer an additional amount equivalent up to 40% of the face amount according to the issue age of the insured. Extending the attentive protection, all the coverage of the riders attached to the basic plan will not be automatically terminated even after the Major Illness Benefit has been paid to support their future rehabilitation journey. Customers can choose a payment term of 15, 20 or 25 years according to their own financial needs, and people aged 15 days to 65 years of age are eligible. From today to 2 February 2015, customers who successfully enrolled for the "WellBeing CI Protection Plan" and reach a designated premium can enjoy a premium discount for up to three months.

Ms. Eleonore Chow, Chief Executive Officer of Dah Sing Life, said, "To realise the Can Do spirit of Hong Kong, Dah Sing Life has launched the "WellBeing CI Protection Plan", an upgrade of similar plans in the market, in order to fill the gap in current general major illness benefits so as to offer greater coverage to customers with different needs. Today, people living in the city face great pressure from life, increasing their risk of suffering from major illnesses, in particular cancers of which the incidence has been increasing. To cope with this trend, Dah Sing Life now provides additional "Target Cancer Therapy Benefit" to alleviate their burden for expensive target cancer therapy, thus enabling more patients to receive timely treatment. We hope the new plan can do more for our customers and help them better prepare for the future and remain calm when facing serious challenges."
