Pop the Cork and Toast the Holiday Season with Sheraton Hotels’ Spotlight on Champagne!

Sheraton® Hotels invites you to raise a glass and toast! In continued celebration of Sheraton Social Hour, Sheraton is making the holidays sparkle with a special spotlight on Champagne. Guests and consumers are invited to raise a glass and toast the season with highly-rated Champagnes at participating Sheraton hotels and resorts around the world, and to share their celebratory toasts using #SheratonToastPromo for a chance to win exclusive Sheraton prizes.

The global festivities kicked off at the Sheraton Buenos Aires Hotel and Convention Center with a toast and performance by platinum recording artists, Capital Cities. Additional celebrations are popping up around the world including Beijing and Dubai. In North America, Champagne will be the third installment of the successful Sheraton Selects Spotlight offering. The program includes two Champagne options out of the eight highly-rated wine options on the Sheraton Selects menu, and participating hotels are offering compelling programming including wine flights, food pairings, guided tastings and more.

Sip, Snooze or Shop?

A recent global survey commissioned by Sheraton shows Champagne is the “must-have” beverage for this holiday season and a cornerstone of any good holiday party. 67% of respondents named Champagne as the most important element to a holiday celebration, beating out other festive musts like décor and food. Bubbly also took first place as the number one holiday beverage of choice (47%) overruling other holiday classic favorites like mulled wine (14%) and spiked hot chocolate (16%). If they had to choose, respondents would be most likely to choose champagne over chocolate (41%), sleeping in late (32%), and shopping (18%).

“During this time of year, there’s no better way to celebrate great wines than with the must-have holiday staple, Champagne,” said Hoyt Harper, Global Brand Leader for Sheraton Hotels & Resorts. “Sheraton is the world’s gathering place, and we’re inviting guests from all over the world to grab a glass and come together for a celebratory toast.”

Sheraton Selects Shine in North America

In North America, the Sheraton Selects Spotlight on Champagne follows the successful launch of the wine program with recent features on the Riesling grape and the wines of New Zealand. Each installment features Sheraton Selects, an upgraded premium wine menu comprised of a rotation of eight or more Wine Spectator-rated wines by the glass. The Sheraton Selects Spotlight program includes two Champagne offerings on all participating Sheraton Selects menus, and hotels may also offer Champagne flights and food pairings. Sheraton Selects Spotlight on Champagne features top Champagne house Nicolas Feuillatte, which is the preferred pour for Sheraton Selects Spotlight on Champagne, and renowned glassware designer, Riedel.
