Precious Lamb Preschool - Breaking the Cycle of Homelessness

By: PRLog
PRLog - Dec. 29, 2014 - LONG BEACH, Calif. -- Precious Lamb Preschool is a non-profit organization that aims to serve homeless families and children through free, Christ-centered education and care. In 2013, PLP supporter, No More Poverty, donated 50 children’s books to the preschool. This year, NMP and co-founder, Julian Omidi, intend  to contribute even more.

“Precious Lamb Preschool does tremendous work with children in the community,” said Julian Omidi.

PLP is based in the Long Beach, California area. Since 2002, at no cost to families, it has helped young children with full days of developmentally appropriate learning, while parents participate in rehabilitation, job training or even educational programs of their own.

Precious Lamb maintains a unique 1:4 teacher/child ratio in order to give the children the attention they deserve. Hands-on learning activities help the children gain the knowledge and skills they need to feel confident now and succeed in the future.

In order to help families with no money to spare, PLP depends on the generous support and donations of groups like No More Poverty - which seeks to end poverty both at home and abroad - as well as local churches, businesses and community organizations and individuals. If you’re in the Long Beach area and want to contribute this holiday season, find out how you can get involved today. Please note that No More Poverty does not take direct donations, so if you would like to donate to Precious Lamb Preschool, you can learn more on their website today.
