Matt Barnette, President, AMAG Technology, told us, "Many large customers have chosen AMAG including Bank of America, Intuit and Yale University. Unfortunately, I can't mention more due to the customer requesting anonymity. I can say we've landed a Fortune 20 global software and service company, the largest energy company in the Southeast U.S., and the most well-known building in New York, for starters. They see the advantages of using their own readers, cards, enclosures and infrastructure, as well as our unique database conversion utility that will save end users countless hours of reworking data."

Sony Electronics, Security Systems Division
Mr. Kenichi (Kevin) Mori, Director, Security Systems Division, Sony Electronics, told us, "Security is critical in the sports venue market, especially considering how many people attend a given event. Stadiums present several different needs and challenges, as they can be well lit during the day, allowing you to see detail easily across the stadium, but at night, the needs are different, so they need to be equipped with a range of cameras. Sony managed the A/V system installation at Levi's Stadium, home of the San Francisco 49ers. The project included hundreds of security cameras, installed throughout the stadium, practice facility, workout facility, parking lot and retail space to help safeguard players, fans, employees and vendors. Additionally, in both 2013 and 2014 Sony's IP cameras were used to secure and provide situational awareness for runners and spectators at the world's biggest marathon, the New York City Marathon. Safety and security at large scale events, like a marathon, have become a top priority and we have a wide range of cameras to support these needs from dome, bullet, 360 degree and pan-tilt-zoom. We supported the marathon with more than 50 Sony security cameras along the final leg of the route and at the finish line. Finally, hundreds of state-of-the-art Sony security cameras were in place during the FIFA World Cup in Brazil this summer. Sony was chosen for a variety of reasons, including its international scope, track record of success, previous work in stadium settings, as well as the seamless integration into Minas Arena's current CCTV infrastructure."

Smart Card Alliance presents the 8th Annual Conference
2015 Payments Summit
February 3-5 * Grand America Hotel * Salt Lake City
Payments at a Higher Level
At the beginning of the year hundreds of industry executives will convene high in the Rocky Mountains at Payments Summit, the leading forum for secure payment technology, implementation, and markets. They come for for high-level discussion on every leading transaction platform: EMV card payments, mobile payments, and transport payments. Over 600 came together last February in Salt Lake City. The next event will build on that success with an expanded program and an up-to-the minute conference agenda. Reserve your seat now at this gathering of leading smart card practitioners, solutions developers, end users, and suppliers.
The US is the world's largest payments ecosystem and the migration to EMV "the global transaction security standard" has now begun in earnest. Yet, for many banks, credit unions, issuers and merchants there is still a frustrating lack of clarity. At the same time, NFC-enabled payments are starting to take shape as card networks, telecoms and handset manufacturers target the market with mobile wallet solutions. But no ubiquitous model for all merchants and issuers has emerged. Finally, transit ridership is considered by many to be the killer app in expanding the use of open standards-based contactless bank card and mobile payments, and major transit operators have launched pilots nationwide.
