PRLog - Feb. 12, 2015 - CENTRAL LONDON, U.K. -- EcoPowerSupplies, an approved Riello UPS reseller has added the recently launched Riello Multi Sentry 160 and 200kW UPS to its product portfolio. The latest additions offer the best operating efficiencies and foot print/kW ratios available at their size ratings. Up to six 200kW UPS can be installed in parallel to give a 1MW critical power array with N+1 redundancy.
The two new Riello UPS extend the existing range (from 10-120kVA) and have several important new features. They are Unity Power Factor rated allowing datacentre managers to power up to 11% more IT load than a traditional UPS system, which might have a 0.9 or lower power factor. The footprint is compact at 850x1050mm to reduce the space required within a data hall or plant room, with battery cabinets sized to cover generator start-up or longer runtimes.
Multi Sentry UPS Provides Lower Running Cost's
The higher the energy efficiency the lower the electricity running costs for any system. In a UPS energy can be wasted during the AC-DC-AC operation and when charging the batteries and running the cooling fans. The Riello Multi Sentry UPS system can achieve 96% in full on-line mode thanks to an advanced triple-stage inverter technology, even when the UPS is powering less than 25% of its rated maximum load. This is important for datacentres where the IT server load is variable. The feature allows IT managers to install a UPS system to meet expansion needs without an efficiency penalty.
Smart ventilation is another advancement that helps Multi Sentry achieve its impressive energy savings. The fans and their rate of airflow are algorithmic controlled based on room ambient and load level. With variable airflow, energy usage is minimized and the life of the fans extended.
