CACI Awarded $43 Million Task Order Contract to Provide Modeling and Simulation and Sensor Development Support to U.S. Army

CACI International Inc (NYSE:CACI) announced today it was awarded a $43 million task order contract to continue providing engineering support, including modeling and simulation of sensor and imaging systems, for the U.S. Army’s Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD). This 12-month contract, awarded under the Strategic Services Sourcing (S3) contract vehicle, sustains CACI’s business in its C4ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) market area.

NVESD, known as the “Night Vision Lab” and located at Fort Belvoir, Va., conducts research and development of advanced night vision and other sensor technologies, such as infrared weapon sights and surveillance systems, that enhance the effectiveness of our Armed Forces in nighttime and limited visibility conditions. Under this contract, CACI will provide modeling and simulation services to assist NVESD in evaluating sensor system technology and concepts to determine effectiveness of military training in relevant scenarios. CACI will also assist in developing and deploying technology enhancements that increase the reconnaissance, surveillance, and target acquisition capabilities of U.S. Armed Forces to keep pace with emerging threats and support overseas operations.

CACI has a strong track record of experience supporting NVESD with technical, management, and engineering solutions. This support includes maintaining mobile training facilities; delivering sophisticated live, virtual, and constructive simulation training; and operating a Systems Integration Laboratory for advanced Army C4ISR systems.

John Mengucci, CACI’s Chief Operating Officer and President of U.S. Operations, said, “CACI brings in-depth knowledge of the Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate’s technical environment and mission requirements. We couple this with specialized modeling and simulation expertise to support the Directorate’s critical mission of delivering essential training capabilities to our military men and women.”

According to CACI President and Chief Executive Officer Ken Asbury, “This contract supporting the Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate continues CACI’s support for this important customer. As asymmetric warfare remains a reality around the globe, we are more dedicated than ever to advancing services and technologies that give our Armed Forces an operational advantage wherever they serve.”
