American Express Announces New Co-Brand Relationship with Charles Schwab

American Express (NYSE: AXP) today announced a new exclusive multi-year agreement with Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. to create two new premium co-branded cards. With the agreement recently finalized, the cards are expected to be available in early 2016.

“We look forward to working closely with Charles Schwab to develop a strong value proposition for the new cards,” said Josh Silverman, president of Consumer Products & Services for American Express. “The partnership is designed to generate positive economics over time for our shareholders, and allow our mutual customers to benefit from a relationship with two leading financial services brands.”

Additional details for the co-branded cards will be announced at a time closer to the products’ availability.
