HONG KONG, Mar 30, 2015 - (ACN Newswire) - A trio of technology-focused trade fairs is set to welcome more than 4,600 exhibitors at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) next month. The three fairs, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) are the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Spring Edition) from 6 to 9 April as well as the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition) and International ICT Expo, both of which open on 13 April and continue through 16 April.

Lighting Fair

The seventh edition of the Lighting Fair (Spring Edition) has attracted more than 1,200 exhibitors, setting a new fair record. They are coming from 12 countries and regions to take part in this exciting event. New exhibitors from Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands, Russia and the United Kingdom will join for the first time.

New to the fair this year is the World of Professional & Industrial Lighting zone with almost 40 exhibitors featuring a wide array of professional lighting fixtures and applications for specific uses and industrial environments, such as emergency and safety lighting, architectural lighting and large venue lighting.

The thirst for environmentally friendly and "smart" products, such as energy-saving light bulbs with App-controlled functions, and the increasing trend of cross-over lighting fixtures and other electric appliances are continuing to fuel buyer interest at the fair.

Themed zones at the four-day fair offer global buyers a myriad of opportunities to boost their business. The LED & Green Lighting zone, comprising indoor and outdoor lighting categories, is the largest area of the fair with nearly 500 exhibitors. Hall of Aurora gathers over 240 leading brands, such as Ervan, Ford, Gentos, TCL and Viribright.

Lighting The Way

The day-long Asian Lighting Forum on 8 April will comprise two sessions; "Global Market Trends on Lighting Product Development" and "Commercial/Technical Lighting Applications". Meanwhile, winning designs of the eighth Hong Kong Lighting Design Competition will be showcased at the Display Area of Hall 1C Concourse throughout the fair period.

Electric Dreams

The 12th edition of the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (13-16 April), the largest Spring electronics event for the industry in Asia, will welcome close to 2,800 exhibitors from 21 countries and regions.

Wearable technology and home connectivity will feature prominently at the event with the introduction of three new zones. The debut Wearable Electronics zone includes over 40 exhibitors displaying a variety of high-tech products including watches with tracking, entertainment and health-related functions. The latest innovations can be found in the Invention Zone with over 20 products from Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland, Korea and Taiwan.
