Idaho Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors Can Renew Licenses Online

For the first time, professional engineers and land surveyors licensed in the Gem State can renew their licenses online. The Idaho Board of Licensure of Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors (IPELS) launched the new online service at ipels.idaho.gov.

“Engineers and surveyors have found the online service to be a simple, effective and efficient way to renew their Idaho licenses, as well as update their contact information with the Board,” IPELS Deputy Director Jim Szatkowski said. “We’re happy to have this feature active for our licensees located inside and outside the state.”

In addition to renewing licenses, the online application gives licensees the ability to review and change their respective mailing address, email address and phone number.

The renewal and efficiency fees are paid via the state’s secure payment server using any credit or debit card displaying a Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express logo. The application also generates a printable, retrievable receipt.

IPELS partnered with Access Idaho to provide the service. The partnership operates under a self-funded model in which no tax dollars or state funds were used to develop the service, and none are necessary to maintain it.
