CaseTalk on board as gold sponsor for both Data Modeling Zone US and Data Modeling Zone Europe
PRLog - May 26, 2015 - CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- Technics Publications and BI Podium Germany are hosting the annual Data Modeling Zone (DMZ) European conference September 28-29 2015 in Hamburg, Germany. Technics Publications is hosting the annual DMZ United States conference October 20-22, 2015 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. These conferences, which features speakers and attendees from around the world, provides training, knowledge-sharing, and networking opportunities for those who build and use data models to capture operational and analytical data requirements for both relational and NoSQL software development. There are over 100 data modeling sessions across the two conferences.

CaseTalk is the Case Tool which enables you to capture the knowledge of the domain experts through fact based modeling. Fact based modeling is the conceptual modeling method free of any technology implementation bias. Although capturing conceptual knowledge, CaseTalk transforms these models towards many different implementation models (i.e. UML, XML, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.). And, with a single click your domain experts are able to validate all these requirements using their own natural language.

CaseTalk will be a gold sponsor at both DMZ Europe and DMZ US conferences. CaseTalk will also offer a workshop at each conference where attendees can bring their own laptop and receive training on using the CaseTalk tool. The session at DMZ Europe will be on Monday September 28. The session at DMZ US will be on Wednesday, October 22.

Marco Wobben, CaseTalk Director, says, “The DMZ conferences are inspiring events where data modelers and information experts come together, refine their knowledge and gain new insights. As the makers of CaseTalk, we feel privileged to sponsor this event and present CaseTalk, the tool for fact based information modeling, to the modeling community. More and more, organizations are becoming ‘data driven’ and CaseTalk is here to support data modelers in their role as guardians of the company's crown jewels: the business knowledge in information models.”

“With the spread of NoSQL solutions, it is more important than ever for data modelers to learn a fact-based modeling dialect,” says Steve Hoberman, President of Technics Publications. “NoSQL solutions, such as MongoDB, Hadoop, and Cassandra, allow populating data without defining the database schema first – fact-based modeling is a semantic approach to data modeling which also de-emphasizes a pre-defined structure and focuses on the data, so NoSQL and fact-based modeling work well together. CaseTalk specializes in fact-based modeling and therefore is a great fit for our conferences. I plan on attending the hands-on workshop to learn how to use the tool.”
